Daily reflections that feel like opening Instagram Stories
A full-screen, tap-through app for Ashara Mubaraka 1448 — auto-advancing stories, familiar gestures, and a pull-down day selector. Built to be opened every single morning.
A moment to pause, and begin again.
Carry the calm into tomorrow.
A ten-day programme of daily content doesn't belong on a website nobody re-visits.
Ashara Mubaraka runs over roughly ten days, with fresh reflections every morning and evening. Nobody scrolls a web page each day — but everyone, of every age, already knows how to tap through a story.
Spread the day's content across WhatsApp broadcasts, PDFs and image dumps and it scatters: there is no single home for "today", earlier days get buried, and people quietly stop checking. The reflections deserved a place that felt current and effortless to open.
An installable mobile-web app built exactly like the stories everyone already taps through.
A full-screen daily app on Vite + React 18 with Framer Motion for the spring transitions and the pull-down tray, Dockerised and shipped on Dokploy (Traefik + nginx) under one HTTPS domain. The content layer is shaped like a future API response, so swapping in a backend later is one module change.
Our Approach
Shape it like stories
We built the daily content as full-screen, auto-advancing stories with segmented progress bars — the hands-free format everyone already taps through.
Design the gestures
Tap to move, hold to pause and swipe to change day, with a pull-down tray of day rings so any of the ten days is one tap away.
Support every segment
Each story can be text, image or video with an optional "view more" link, all served from an API-shaped data layer built as a backend seam from day one.
Ship it installable
Dockerised and deployed on Dokploy with Traefik and nginx under one HTTPS domain, so the community could install it and open it every day.
Everything works with one thumb
No buttons to learn. Tap the right to go forward, tap the left to go back, press and hold to pause while the chrome fades, and swipe sideways to jump to another day. The same gestures people use a hundred times a day on social.
Pull down to choose any day
The day picker stays out of the way until you want it. Pull down from the top and a tray of day rings drops in — the current day highlighted — so catching up on a missed day is a single tap, while the segmented bars always show exactly where you are.
An app the community opened every single day of the programme.
Zero app-store friction — it opened straight in the browser and could be added to the home screen.
